About BRITE Box

BRITE Box is Voices of Hope’s flagship early intervention programme tackling food insecurity, health inequalities and family wellbeing. Every week, over 6,00 families across London and Surrey receive healthy recipe kits containing fresh ingredients, simple recipes and opportunities to cook together as a family. The programme helps children develop healthier eating habits, increases cooking confidence, strengthens family relationships and supports long-term health and wellbeing.

Alongside delivery, we are committed to building a strong evidence base through independent evaluation and partnership working with schools, local authorities, universities and the NHS.

The Role

We’re looking for a volunteer to help us secure funding and demonstrate the impact of BRITE Box.

Working alongside our Grant team and BRITE Box programme team, you’ll help prepare grant applications, funding reports and impact summaries that communicate both the evidence and the stories behind the programme.

Your work will directly contribute to enabling more families to access healthy food and early intervention support.

What you’ll be doing

• Researching funding opportunities aligned to BRITE Box.

• Drafting and editing grant applications.

• Preparing monitoring and evaluation reports for funders.

• Turning programme data, outcomes and case studies into compelling funding narratives.

• Working with the team to gather evidence, statistics and beneficiary stories.

• Helping maintain a library of impact evidence that can be used across future funding applications.

We’re looking for someone who has either:

• Direct experience writing successful grant applications or funder reports; or

• Good writing, analytical or research skills with the ability to translate information into clear, persuasive and engaging funding applications.

Ideally you’ll also have:

• Excellent written English and attention to detail.

• The ability to understand and communicate impact using both qualitative stories and quantitative data.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

• An interest in children’s health, food insecurity, health inequalities or community wellbeing.

• Confidence working collaboratively with staff to gather information and meet funding deadlines.
